NEAT's new Gotthard Base Tunnel was opened in autumn 2016. The warm and clean mountain water of 150 to 400 seconds liters that seeps into the tunnel tubes can be collected and used sustainably — as a natural resource for sustainable fish farming of more than 600 tons of edible fish per year.
Mr. and Mrs. Schweizer eat almost 80,000 tons of fish and crustaceans per year - the quality, sustainability and origin of the food is becoming increasingly important to consumers!
